Job summary

Ascend Hospice is hiring a Staffing Coordinator in the United States to coordinate and generate efficient nurse aide and home health aide schedules. The role requires coordinating assignments daily with CHHAs, RNs, managers, and other staff, while maintaining effective communication and service levels.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of scheduling experience, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• 1 year scheduling/staffing experience required.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up skills.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and generate efficient schedules for nurses aides and home health aides.
• Coordinate and prioritize assignments based on need; ensure regular communication with CHHAs, RNs, managers and other team members.
• Assign work daily with managers and staff; promptly alert management of scheduling gaps for service needs.
• Ensure service levels stay within scope of responsibility.
• Monitor and control overtime and contract labor usage.
• Ensure Hospice Aides follow company procedures and report concerns to management.
• Provide input into clinical evaluations of all Hospice Aides.
• Communicate scheduling-related concerns involving Hospice Aides to the appropriate manager for follow-up.
• Remain flexible regarding work schedule and assignments based on operational needs.

Now Hiring -Staffing Coordinator

Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

TheStaffing Coordinatorwill be responsible for, but are not limited to:

1. Coordinates and generates efficient and accurate schedules for nurses aides & home health aides.

2. Coordinates and prioritizes assignments based on need; ensuring regular and effective communication with appropriate internal staff, including CHHAs, RNs, managers, and other team members.

3. Coordinates and works with managers, and other appropriate staff, to assign work on a daily basis; promptly alerts management of scheduling gaps for service needs.

4. Ensures accurate and appropriate levels of service within scope of responsibility.

5. Monitors and controls use of overtime and contract labor

6. Ensures Hospice Aides follow company procedures and promptly communicates any concerns or issues to the appropriate manager.

7. Provides input into the clinical evaluations of all Hospice Aides

8. Communicates scheduling-related concerns or issues involving Hospice Aides to the appropriate manager for follow-up.

9. Remains flexible and adaptable regarding work schedule and assignments based on operational needs.
