Job summary

Luther Wood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Hatboro, PA is seeking a Staffing Coordinator / Scheduler to arrange and coordinate staff coverage based on census and patient care needs.

Must have experience staffing in LTC, working with the Director of Human Resources and Nursing leadership to ensure Care Beyond Compare. Competitive hourly rates and strong benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as a Scheduler / Staffing Coordinator or equivalent position.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with scheduling software and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain four-week staff schedules for patient care staff using an electronic scheduling system.
• Monitor schedules daily and secure replacements for gaps in coverage.
• Keep scheduling system updated to reflect current staffing needs.
• Verify attendance and communicate with HR on absences or tardiness.
• Coordinate time-off requests to ensure proper unit coverage.
• Build and maintain rapport with interdepartmental personnel and nursing leadership.

Job description

Luther Wood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Hatboro, PA is seeking a qualified candidate to join our growing team as the Staffing Coordinator / Scheduler.

Must have prior experience staffing in LTC.

As the Staffing Coordinator, you'll work closely with the center's Director of Human Resources and the Nursing leadership team to arrange and coordinate staff coverage for based on census, established guidelines, and anticipated patient care needs to help our center meet its commitment of providing Care Beyond Compare.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and maintain work schedules on a four-week basis for patient care staff using an electronic scheduling system.

• Monitor schedules daily and secures replacements as needed for gaps in coverage.

• Ensure the electronic scheduling system stays up to date to accurately reflect staffing schedule.

• Verify employee attendance and communicate with HR regarding employee absences or tardiness.

• Coordinate employee requests for time off to ensure proper coverage of nursing units.

• Develop and maintain good working rapport with interdepartmental personnel, as well as other departments in the healthcare center.

What You Need

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Experience as a Scheduler / Staffing Coordinator or equivalent position.

• Ability to effectively coordinate people and resources.

• Proficient with computer programs including scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Highly organized and detail oriented.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
