Qualifications

• Scheduling master nursing schedules weeks in advance, balancing staff availability and overtime limits.

• Track attendance, tardiness, absenteeism, and hours worked; report chronic issues to DON and HR.
• Monitor staff licenses, CPR/First Aid, OBRA compliance, and nurse-to-resident ratio logs for state health departments.
• Assist HR and DON with screening applicants, scheduling interviews, orientations, and issuing schedules to incoming staff.

Core Responsibilities

• Scheduling: Build, post, and update master nursing schedules weeks in advance, balancing staff availability, shift preferences, and overtime limits.
• Shift Coverage: Answer call-ins, find replacement personnel for open or vacant shifts, and coordinate with per-diem staff or outside staffing agencies when short-staffed.
• Attendance & Timekeeping: Track daily tardiness, absenteeism, and hours worked, reporting chronic attendance issues to the Director of Nursing and Human Resources.
• Compliance & Tracking: Monitor staff licenses, CPR/First Aid certifications, OBRA compliance, and daily nurse-to-resident ratio logs required for state departments of health.
• Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist HR and the DON with screening applicants, scheduling interviews, coordinating new-hire orientations, and issuing schedules to incoming staff.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: Previous experience as a staffing coordinator, scheduler, or medical office administrator—ideally within a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care setting.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, multi-tasking, crisis-management, and problem-solving abilities under pressure
