Job summary

Emerald Nursing and Rehab Columbus is seeking a highly organized Staffing Coordinator/Scheduler to join our HR team. The role coordinates nursing staff schedules, tracks attendance, and ensures proper coverage for all shifts to deliver quality resident care.

You will work 8am–5pm with on-call rotation, collaborate with HR and nursing leadership, and assist with recruiting and onboarding as needed. CNA license required; scheduling experience in healthcare preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior scheduling experience required, preferably in healthcare.
• Active CNA license required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with scheduling software (Apploi/OnShift) is a plus.
• Knowledge of state staffing regulations for skilled nursing facilities.
• Team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage staff schedules for nursing and support teams.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels in accordance with state regulations and facility needs.
• Communicate shift changes, open shifts, and schedule updates to staff in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, time-off requests, and shift swaps.
• Collaborate with HR and nursing leadership to address staffing challenges.
• Assist with recruiting and onboarding new staff as needed.
• Monitor compliance with policies related to attendance, punctuality, and staffing requirements.
• Provide support in handling last-minute schedule adjustments due to emergencies or call-offs.
