Job summary

E. Roy Stone, JR. Veterans Pavillion in Columbia, SC is hiring a Full Time staffing coordinator to manage nursing schedules, ensure coverage, and coordinate new-hire training. Pay ranges $20.00–$22.00/hour and benefits are available. 1 work location with a supportive team and equal opportunity employer.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and healthcare or staffing experience; strong organizational, communication, and computer skills required. Paycor experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous staffing, scheduling, or healthcare experience preferred.
• Long-term care, skilled nursing, or 24-hour healthcare experience strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency; scheduling and timekeeping software experience preferred.
• Experience with Paycor is a plus.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with leadership and direct-care staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate nursing staff schedules.
• Ensure appropriate staffing coverage across all shifts and departments.
• Monitor call-outs, PTO requests, vacancies, availability, and schedule changes.
• Secure coverage for open shifts and staffing needs.
• Coordinate schedules for new hires, orientations, and training.
• Maintain accurate staffing records and communicate schedule updates.
• Monitor staffing levels and assist in controlling unnecessary overtime.
• Partner with Human Resources and Nursing Administration regarding staffing needs.
• Identify staffing shortages and communicate concerns promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling employee and facility information.
