Qualifications

• Current Maryland RN license or eligibility through the Maryland Nurse Licensure Compact.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Unit-specific certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, NIHSS) may be required based on assigned unit.
• Minimum of two years of recent acute care nursing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect nursing care appropriate to patient population and acuity.
• Performs comprehensive patient assessments, implements interventions, and documents in the EMR.
• Collaborates with patients, families, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to promote safety and quality.
• Safely administers medications and uses clinical equipment per policy and competency.
• Delegates and supervises nursing care activities within competency levels.
• Maintains licensure, certifications, and required competencies for assigned settings.
• Participates in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and education.
