Job summary
Form Energy is hiring a Staff Electrical Engineer to join our Test Infrastructure team. You will design and deliver test equipment enabling critical tests across our iron-‑air battery systems and supporting hardware.
A key focus is building out test automation hardware for our battery management system electronics, including control panels and simple PCBA, plus writing control software to simulate real-world hardware.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 7+ years in electrical design or test equipment development
- Experience with PCB/control panel/harness design tools (Altium/AutoCAD Electrical/EPLAN)
- Experience with sensors, power electronics, data acquisition and control systems
Responsibilities
- Design and build custom electrical test equipment to automate bring-up and testing of product hardware
- Own hardware for reliability and UL test automation, simulating real-world hardware
- Collaborate with design, reliability, and UL teams to implement test automation hardware
- Develop software for test beds (Python) including control, automation and data acquisition
- Architect test equipment for BMS verification and HIL systems for firmware testing
- Diagnose product issues with hardware and software and implement fixes
