Job summary

Form Energy is hiring a Staff Electrical Engineer to join our Systems Test team. You will be responsible for the design and delivery of test equipment that enables the execution of critical tests across our iron-air battery systems and supporting hardware.

The scope ranges from simple electrical characterization setups to building out system-level validation test beds at deployment scale. In this role, you will bridge heavy industrial power distribution, custom automated test equipment, and

Qualifications

• Experience designing test infrastructure for large systems.
• Knowledge of UL 508A and NFPA 79 standards.
• Experience with high-voltage/high-current test environments.
• Familiarity with BMS architecture and CAN/SPI/I2C interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end electrical design of test infrastructure.
• Architect and layout industrial control panels per standards.
• Integrate high-power DC supplies, regenerative loads, battery simulators.
• Translate system-level tests into automated infrastructure designs.
• Implement isolated sensing and grounding for noisy environments.
• Lead bring-up, debugging, and commissioning of test racks.
• Coordinate commissioning of pack and multi-pack test assets.
• Collaborate with teams on validation requirements and safety.
