Job summary

Raytheon in Andover, MA is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform visual inspection of electronic assemblies, verify conformance to drawings and customer specifications, and document defects for corrective action.

This on-site 3rd shift role includes a 12% shift differential above base pay. A DoD Secret clearance is required, and U.S. citizenship is necessary. No relocation offered. You will collaborate with production teams to resolve issues and maintain product quality.

Qualifications

  • AA/AS degree (or equivalent) with at least 2 years’ relevant experience.
  • Experience with electronic assemblies.
  • Experience with QA processes, testing, and/or troubleshooting of electronic assemblies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools.

Job Overview

Location: US-MA-ANDOVER-AN1 ~ 350 Lowell St ~ AN1 ESSEX BLDG. Work performed onsite in Andover, MA. No relocation offered. 3rd shift position with a 12% shift differential above base pay.

Security Clearance: DoD Clearance: Secret. U.S. citizenship required. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance is required.

What You Will Do
  • Perform visual inspection of electronic assemblies, including circuit boards, solder joints, wiring, and components, to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Verify that assemblies meet engineering drawings, schematics, and customer specifications.
  • Identify, document, and disposition defects, non‑conformances, and deviations from the manufacturing process.
  • Work closely with production teams to address quality issues and provide feedback for corrective actions.
  • Provide real‑time support to the production floor by addressing quality concerns, resolving technical issues, and assisting with troubleshooting to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2‑year post‑high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with electronic assemblies.
  • Experience with quality assurance processes, testing, and/or troubleshooting of circuit card or other electronic assemblies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Hands‑on experience with circuit card assembly, including component placement, soldering techniques (through‑hole and surface‑mount technology), and rework/repair processes.
  • Familiarity with IPC‑A‑610 & J‑STD‑001 standards for electronic assemblies and the ability to work with engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Experience working directly with engineers, scientists, technicians, and leadership in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to build positive, constructive professional relationships.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong constructive problem‑solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from a variety of communities and backgrounds.
