Job summary

Motive is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager to orchestrate large, cross-functional technical programs that strengthen platform foundations and improve delivery at scale. You will partner with senior leaders across Platform Services and engineering to align roadmaps with measurable outcomes.

The role emphasizes technical judgment, structured leadership, and the ability to create clarity amid ambiguity, dependencies, and competing priorities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in technical program management or related roles.
• 15+ years in the technology industry.
• Proven track record leading large, ambiguous, multi-team programs.
• Strong technical fluency for engaging with engineering leaders on architecture and delivery.
• Experience structuring programs and driving cross-functional decisions.
• Experience aligning senior stakeholders and improving governance.
• Bias for action and root-cause problem solving over admin tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with executive summaries.
• Data-driven governance using metrics and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Partner with VP of Platform Services and Eng managers to translate priorities into executable roadmaps.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of cross-functional programs across Platform Services Engineering.
• Manage goals, milestones, dependencies, decisions, and risks with clear rhythms.
• Build scalable program mechanisms: roadmap reviews, status reports, escalation paths.
• Identify systemic issues and drive durable, practical solutions.
• Influence stakeholders to move strategic initiatives forward.
• Mentor teams in strong program management practices.
• Drive Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews and cross-organizational communications.
• Collaborate with Product leadership to map roadmaps into multi-team programs.
• Implement dynamic tracking frameworks to flag delivery risks weeks in advance.
