Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Huntsville, AL seeks a Technical Assistant to the GMD Weapon System Chief Engineers to support technical integrity, risk management, and scheduling across the program. You will interact with functional engineering teams and program managers to maintain rigorous technical standards and timely delivery.

This role emphasizes collaboration across disciplines, conducting program reviews, planning technical activities, and guiding design decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering/technical discipline.
• Broad technical background in development and systems engineering processes.
• Familiar with Agile Scrum team development environments and DevSecOps practices
• Current GWS Chief Engineer Technical Assistant experience
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with internal customers, external customers, and multiple engineering disciplines
• Qualified candidates must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to assure overall technical integrity for a program
• Ensure the GWS meets all performance and functional requirements
• Act as principal customer interface for program technical aspects
• Ensure there is program technical process discipline and consistency
• Conduct program reviews
• Develop the technical plan & schedule
• Managing technical risk, adhering to process, and making solid design decisions
