Job summary

Intel's APTM organization seeks a Staff Technology Development Substrate Yield Lead to drive supplier yield, defect reduction, and process-control maturity for EMIB-T substrates with Japan suppliers.

The role requires expat assignment in Japan and heavy cross-functional collaboration with IFS/IPG teams to deliver yield improvements and program milestones, including modeling, analytics, and dashboard deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years in engineering, materials science, physics, chemistry or related field; or Master's 6+ years; PhD 4+ years.
• 5+ years in semiconductor manufacturing, advanced packaging, substrate tech, yield engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on substrate/advanced packaging yield engineering including statistical analysis and failure analysis.
• Experience deploying yield monitoring systems, dashboards, or automated analytics.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day yield performance and issue closure for supplier lines and processes.
• Lead structured investigations from containment through corrective action.
• Use analytics to identify signatures by line and time and establish verification plans.
• Support qualification, ramp readiness, and deployment of dashboards/analytics.
