Job summary

Virtru is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to join the Delivery Engineering org. You will lead deployment automation for the Data Security Platform, ship air-gapped delivery paths, and partner with QA to validate releases across Kubernetes distributions.

You will own the criteria for safe ship, drive automation, and mentor others in a DevOps-first approach. You will collaborate with product engineering, influence roadmaps for reliability, and help scale deployments for enterprise and

Qualifications

• Shipped software into environments you could not reach (air-gapped, offline)
• Experience with Kubernetes across distributions (EKS, OpenShift, k3s, etc)
• Infrastructure as code and reproducible environments discipline
• Go proficiency, which the data security platform is written in
• Familiarity with identity providers and security architectures (Zero Trust)

Responsibilities

• Own deployment automation for the Data Security Platform, including packaging, installation, upgrades, and validation
• Build air-gapped delivery path end to end with offline bundles and signed artifacts
• Partner with QA to build reproducible test fleet and deployment test harness across Kubernetes distributions
• Establish infrastructure-as-code baseline for standard deployments
• Instrument deployments to measure time to value, upgrade lag, and cost per deployment
• Design for disconnected operation and offline telemetry modes
• Mentor junior engineers and promote a DevOps-first culture
