Virtru is seeking a senior DevOps/Platform Engineer to own air-gapped deployment automation for the Data Security Platform and to lead reproducible, offline upgrade paths. You will work across Kubernetes distributions, implement infrastructure-as-code baselines, and collaborate with QA to validate deployments in challenging, secure environments.

Qualifications

• Shipped software into air-gapped, offline environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes across distributions (EKS/OpenShift/RKE2/k3s).
• IaC discipline using Terraform/OpenTofu, CloudFormation, Ansible to reproduce environments.

Responsabilités

• Own deployment automation for the Data Security Platform: packaging, installation, upgrades, and validation.
• Build air-gapped delivery paths: offline bundles, mirrored registries, signed artifacts with a software bill of materials, and zero-egress upgrades.
• Partner with QA to build reproducible test fleets and a compatibility matrix.
• Establish the infrastructure-as-code baseline for standard deployments.
• Instrument deployments to measure time to value, upgrade lag, first-time-right rate, and cost per deployment.
• Design for disconnected operation with modes for local file reviews.
• Convert learnings into reusable accelerators instead of runbooks.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering on build and release pipelines.
• Turn field findings into durable product decisions with documented outcomes.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers with a DevOps-first mindset.
