Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an Staff Software Verification Engineer to join our Mission Systems team in Connecticut. You will lead design and execution of verification activities for avionics software, interfacing with systems, hardware, and software teams to ensure safety-critical compliance and robust test coverage.

You will work within a DevSecOps framework, utilizing CI/CD, GitLab, and Atlassian tools, while applying DO-178C methodologies to verify embedded software across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in computer engineering, CS, software engineering, or related field.
• DO-178C experience and safety-critical development are highly desirable.
• Strong C/C++/Python with test automation and embedded software experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement C/C++ test procedures verifying high- and low-level software requirements.
• Conduct investigations, troubleshoot software issues, and perform regression analysis.
• Develop and maintain traceability matrices linking tests to requirements, ensuring coverage and auditability.
