Lockheed Martin Corporation seeks an early career Software Verification Engineer to join a Mission Systems team. You will execute all phases of the software development lifecycle, coordinating with Systems, Hardware, and Program Management to verify embedded software against requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years of professional engineering experience or a Master's degree with no required experience.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and/or Python for developing automated test code and scripts.
• Knowledge of system verification/test documentation, test-plan creation, and execution.
• Demonstrated experience developing software verification assets (test code, procedures, traceability) and working with software engineers on design and test of embedded software.
• Experience with the design, integration, and test of systems and software operational programs.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement C/C++ test procedures that verify high-level requirements.
• Troubleshoot software issues and perform regression analysis.
• Develop and maintain traceability matrices linking test results to requirements.
• Create test plans, procedures, and reports; execute IV&V activities in a software lab.
• Define interfaces for verification setups and update ICDs.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and integration/test teams to resolve findings.
• Support documentation of verification activities and certification evidence.
• Participate in planning, status updates, and risk mitigation.
