Job summary

Samsara is seeking a hands-on Staff Software Engineer to elevate Telematics products into major businesses. You will work with customers, test ideas, and build scalable solutions, staying close to production usage and adoption.

This role blends technical leadership with concrete hands-on engineering across services and APIs to drive reliable growth. You will shape problems, decide with product and design partners, and steer architecture that balances speed and long-term reliability.

Qualifications

Track record shipping customer-facing products and growing them beyond launch.
Strong product judgment with evidence-based decisions.
Deep hands-on software engineering ability across production systems.
Experience scaling products and systems to support growth.
Technical leadership across team boundaries.

Responsibilities

Work directly with customers and customer-facing teams to identify unmet needs and success metrics.
Lead initiatives end-to-end from discovery to production rollout and iteration.
Write and ship code across services and APIs on the critical path.
Set technical direction and align teams to deliver.
Ensure production quality with reliable rollouts and performance.
