Job summary

NinjaOne is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to shape our technical direction and own large-scale initiatives across multiple product teams. You will mentor engineers, drive architecture, and raise the bar for quality and scalability in a cloud-based platform.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of Java software development experience for product applications.
• 5+ years designing and operating highly scalable systems.
• Proven experience solving complex system design challenges at scale.
• Expertise in API design and RESTful services with Spring (Boot) or Jersey.
• Strong OO design principles and relational database knowledge.
• 2+ years of Kotlin is a plus; Redis experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Influence critical architectural decisions and oversee complex technical solutions.
• Mentor engineers and elevate engineering standards across teams.
• Own large-scale multi-team initiatives and drive design trade-offs.
• Collaborate with product, infra, and engineering to ensure practical, forward-looking solutions.
