Gusto, Inc. seeks a senior software engineer to own and advance the tax engineering platform.

You will design and implement end-to-end tax information capture, calculation, and filing workflows while collaborating across engineering, product, design, and data science teams. With a focus on AI-assisted development, you will contribute to scalable systems and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable payroll and tax experiences for millions of customers.

Formación

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with React and TypeScript.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails and SQL or other backend languages.
• Domain experience in Payroll, Taxes, or Compliance is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Execute the technical strategy for your team’s domain and align with OKRs.
• Design, build, and test tax information onboarding and updates.
• Advocate for customers to ensure taxes are collected, calculated, and filed correctly.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Product, Design, Data Science, Compliance, and Operations.
• Support platform powering multiple products and services for millions of businesses.
• Mentor engineers and drive scalable solutions.
