Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience designing and developing robust, distributed systems using multiple languages.
• Experience guiding multiple teams on scaling and refactoring legacy products.
• Experience building large-scale production code and testing.
• Familiar with AI tools and embedding AI in development workflows.
• Bonus: Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, React experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test the platform that supports tax compliance at scale.
• Help scale one of the largest Ruby/Rails and TS/React applications.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Product, Design, Data Science, Compliance and Operations.
• Improve productivity and happiness by creating useful services and APIs.
• Build guardrails for AI usage ensuring compliance, accuracy, and reliability.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to AI strategy across teams.
• Drive technical strategy and roadmaps aligned with OKRs.
