Gusto is seeking a seasoned software engineer to help build and scale our Tax platform. You will influence feature specs, guide migrations toward scalable systems, and maintain code that powers core experiences in a compliance-heavy domain.

You’ll work with Ruby on Rails and TS/React stacks in a highly collaborative, test-driven environment, mentoring peers and driving architectural improvements, with equity and strong total rewards.

Formación

• At least 10+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience designing robust distributed systems and guiding multiple teams.
• Experience building production-grade code in complex, regulated domains.
• Aptitude for simplifying complex problems and communicating tradeoffs.
• Enthusiasm for collaborative, test-driven environments.
• Bonus: Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, and React experience.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and test the platform that supports tax compliance for millions of people.
• Help scale one of the largest Ruby/Rails and TypeScript/React applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems.
