Job summary

Stripe is seeking a senior backend engineer to build and operate scalable integrations between Metronome and external billing, payments, ERP, and CRM platforms. You will design robust event-driven flows, improve reliability, and help customers control invoicing, revenue recognition, and cash flow at scale.

You have 10+ years of production backend experience, strong API integration skills, and the ability to communicate tradeoffs clearly to engineers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience building and operating backend systems in production.
• Experience with distributed or event-driven systems and third-party API integrations.
• Ability to communicate technical tradeoffs clearly to engineers and people outside engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain integrations between Metronome and external billing, payments, marketplace, ERP, and CRM platforms.
• Ship features that help customers control how they invoice, collect, and account for revenue.
• Participate in on-call rotation and lead incident response for the systems the team owns.
