You will set year-long strategy, collaborate across product, design and analytics, and raise the bar on reliability, code quality and on-call readiness while growing talent.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficient in designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale (Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, Kubernetes).
• Proficient in web apps using React or Vue.
• Experience delivering major features or deprecating functionality with a clear technical plan.
• Comfortable navigating from low-level code to system architecture.
• Proven ability to gather and iterate on feedback from eng and cross-functional peers.
• Strong verbal and written communication for collaboration with a global team.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy for your team on a year-long horizon.
• Collaborate across product, design & analytics to ensure sustainability and manage risks.
• Advocate for technical solutions and operational processes as a force multiplier.
• Own team operations, monitoring, triage rotations, runbooks and on-call readiness.
• Set and promote code review and design standards across teams.
• Mentor and develop team members through guidance and example.
