Unify is redefining go‑to‑market with state‑of‑the‑art AI. As an early Staff Software Engineer, you will help scale our core platform to support hyper growth and partner with the founders to set the technical vision.

You’ll translate product goals into engineering roadmaps, establish coding standards, and mentor engineers across domains while delivering reliable, scalable systems for customers like Cursor, Perplexity, and Decagon.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years leading critical projects or teams.
• Deep PostgreSQL expertise: partitioned/sharded schemas, tuning, backups, observability, multi‑TB clusters with replication/failover.
• Proven track record of shipping production‑grade systems at scale.
• Mentoring engineers and elevating peers.
• Desire to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and master your craft.

Responsibilities

• Scale Unify to support hyper growth and large-scale customers.
• Drive the technical roadmap with Product, Design, and GTM stakeholders.
• Set engineering standards: coding practices, CI/CD, testing, reliability, observability.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies by prototyping with third‑party APIs, databases, model‑serving platforms, and infra vendors.
• Mentor and lead engineers across domains, providing guidance and removing blockers.
