Dune is building market data solutions for institutional customers who need timely, accurate and reliable financial data they can depend on. We\'re a tight knit team delivering real-time feeds and reference data with historical capture on a distributed platform.

You will design and build scalable systems, implement complex features, and mentor engineers while contributing to AI-assisted development and reliable operations across an international remote team.

Qualifications

• Strong distributed backend experience with high reliability and performance.
• Experience with realtime streaming systems, concurrency, state management, backpressure, recovery.
• Solid CS fundamentals and backend engineering Skills; Rust or Go experience valuable.
• Ability to turn ambiguous requirements into pragmatic designs for production services.

Responsibilities

• Design and build distributed systems for ingestion, normalization, processing, storage and delivery of realtime market data.
• Build and operate streaming solutions handling event ordering, timestamps, duplicates, replay, gaps and recovery.
• Develop reliable client feeds and APIs with clear contracts and access controls.
• Partner with teams across Dune on reference data models and historical data capture.
• Define and improve service objectives and data quality measures.
• Instrument latency and data quality, turning incidents into improvements and contributing to on-call readiness.
• Lead technical decisions across team boundaries; mentor engineers through design and review.
