Job summary

Bluesight is seeking a Staff Software Engineer on the 340BCheck team to shape technical direction and scale our healthcare data platform. You will guide architecture across React, TypeScript, Python, FastAPI, Terraform, and CodeBuild, while mentoring engineers and collaborating with product and QA.

In this fully remote role, you’ll drive multi-month initiatives, improve system reliability, and mentor others as you grow the team.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of professional software engineering experience across full stack.
• Proven track record steering multi-month, cross-domain initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL and scalable DB design.
• Experience with IaC (Terraform) and production service ownership.
• Ability to influence architectural decisions across teams.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring senior engineers.
• Comfort co-leading technical direction with senior voices on the team.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for the 340BCheck team across front-end, back-end, data, CI/CD, and infrastructure.
• Own critical architectural decisions for apps and services built on React, TS, Python, FastAPI, Terraform, CodeBuild.
• Drive proactive refactoring and improvements to scale the 340BCheck platform.
• Lead cross-team dependency management and align Product, QA, and other engineers.
• Mentor senior engineers and elevate the team's technical execution.
