Job summary

Bluesight is hiring a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain front-end and back-end applications on the Shared Services team. Expect to work with Python FastAPI, React, and Terraform, delivering end-to-end software with a focus on performance, security, and reliability across healthcare data products.

You will mentor junior engineers, lead code reviews, and collaborate across functions to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/SE or equivalent
Strong fundamentals in software engineering practices (code reviews, version control, build, testing)
Experience with Terraform IaC to deploy work
Proficient in writing comprehensive tests (unit/integration/end-to-end)
Experience with RDBMS & NoSQL databases (DynamoDB)
Track record in product development translating requirements into scalable software
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Proactive, learner, ownership mindset

Responsibilities

Build web services using Python FastAPI
Maintain and enhance front-end code in React
Deploy via Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
Own end-to-end SDLC from ideation to deployment and monitoring
Ensure performance, security, and scalability meet high standards
Create unit and integration tests to ensure quality
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into solutions
Lead code reviews and promote best practices; stay updated with tech trends
Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of learning and ownership
