Job summary
Bluesight in the United States is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the 340BCheck team to help shape technical direction across front-end, back-end, and data services. You will drive architectural decisions, implement scalable solutions, and mentor engineers.
You will collaborate with Product, QA, and other teams, communicate tradeoffs to stakeholders, and contribute to a culture of ownership and performance.
Qualifications
- 9+ years of professional software engineering experience across front-end, back-end, and data layers.
- Track record of setting technical direction and delivering multi-month cross-domain initiatives.
- Strong relational DB design, especially MySQL, at scale.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and end-to-end production ownership.
- Excellent communication and collaboration across engineering and product teams.
Responsibilities
- Set technical direction for the 340BCheck team across multiple domains.
- Own architectural decisions for React/TypeScript, Python/FastAPI, Terraform-based services.
- Lead cross-team dependency management with Product, QA, and adjacent teams.
- Mentor senior engineers and raise technical judgment across the team.
- Communicate tradeoffs to stakeholders and influence roadmaps.
- Drive improvements in team culture and delivery velocity.
