Job summary

Fivetran is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join Platform Ops and lead initiatives that boost developer productivity through tooling, environments, and observability. You will drive AI-based workflows, automation, and self-service capabilities across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Youll partner with Platform Engineering, Release, Security, and product teams to deliver measurable improvements in lead time, incidents, and recovery, while mentoring engineers and defining technical direction for broad

Qualifications

Production services built in Python and/or Go.
Experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Experience building developer productivity tooling.
Track record leading cross-team technical projects to completion.
Strong communication and engineering judgment.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end projects to improve developer tooling, environments, and operational workflows.
Design and operate internal tooling/services in Python and/or Go.
Build tooling for our internal developer platform (self-service workflows, interfaces).
Add automation across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Develop AI-based workflows that improve developer experience and reduce repetitive work.
Improve observability and feedback loops to diagnose failures faster.
Define paved paths and self-service capabilities for teams to ship quickly.
Improve reliability through automation and observability and drive incident follow-ups.
Set technical direction and drive delivery across stakeholders.
Mentor engineers through design and code reviews.
