Job summary

Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies. We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Automations team, a growing engineering team focused on building internal automations, tools, and systems that make Fivetran engineers more productive and effective.

The team operates at the intersection of software engineering, developer productivity, and automation.

Qualifications

Experience leading and developing software engineers.
Strong software engineering background with depth to guide designs.
End-to-end software project delivery experience.
Ability to translate vague problems into clear priorities.
Product and customer mindset for internal tooling.
Strong collaboration and communication across teams.
Ability to build trust, delegate, and create accountability.
Interest in automation and developer productivity.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers building internal automation and developer tooling.
Shape strategy and roadmap for engineering automation and internal tools.
Partner with engineers and stakeholders to prioritize opportunities and implement solutions.
Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, design reviews, and code reviews.
Own execution and delivery balancing speed with reliability and maintainability.
Grow a strong autonomous team with clear delegation and leadership.
Contribute hands-on to design, prototyping, coding when valuable.
