CVS Health Digital is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to act as both Technical Lead and Individual Contributor. You will help build a next‑generation platform enabling use cases to become products focused on healthier lives.

You will create PoCs, drive delivery excellence, and collaborate with IT leaders to architect scalable, secure services and AI-enabled features. The role involves guiding engineers, reviewing code, and delivering high‑quality software for a complex digital

Qualifications

7+ years of experience delivering enterprise solutions in a large-scale distributed software environment.
5+ years of Java development experience.
5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud initiatives and cloud computing technologies.
5+ years of designing and developing modern microservices and APIs.
3+ years of CI/CD automation experience.
3+ years of Agile development experience.
2+ years of Agentic AI / Generative AI experience.

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable software solutions meeting business requirements and quality standards.
Contribute to solution design and architecture discussions with architects and senior engineers.
Provide input on performance optimization and scalability to meet objectives.
Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards and best practices.
Mentor junior developers and share knowledge through code reviews and tech talks.
