Job summary

Pomelo Care is hiring a technical lead to own the architecture and delivery of our patient-facing mobile and web apps. You will drive engagement, retention, and high-quality user experiences across the enrollment and care journey.

Reporting to Senior Staff Engineering Manager, you will mentor engineers, ship features rapidly with design and product teams, and set scalable frontend/mobile standards using Expo, React Native, and TypeScript.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping consumer or patient-facing apps.
• Led architecture direction and mentored other engineers.
• Thrives in startup, fast-paced environments.
• Familiar with AI/ML or agent-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction for mobile and patient-facing apps.
• Prototype and ship features with design and product, leveraging AI tools.
• Direct product direction to support patient retention in the first month.
• Collaborate with product, design, and clinical teams to translate needs into features.
• Mentor and grow junior engineers.
• Set tech standards, architecture patterns, and development practices for patient-facing products.
