Job summary

Reddit, Inc. is seeking a Senior Frontend Software Engineer for the Consumer Engineering team. The role is remote within the United States and focuses on building scalable frontend systems that power Reddit’s consumer experiences.

You will collaborate across Product, Design, Data Science, and Client Engineers to deliver low-latency features, design robust APIs, and continuously improve the developer workflow with modern tooling and AI-assisted processes.

Qualifications

• Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Vue, Angular) and CSS styling.
• Ability to design and implement maintainable APIs (GraphQL, REST).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Cross-Functional Product Architecture: Partner with PM, Design, Data Science, and Client Engineers to translate needs into reliable, low-latency solutions.
• End-to-End Delivery: Own the full software lifecycle for major initiatives from design to rollout and observability.
• Metrics & Experimentation-Led Engineering: Design and evaluate A/B experiments using BigQuery, HEX, or Firebase for data-backed decisions.
• API & System Performance: Build and maintain scalable APIs (GraphQL, REST, gRPC) for efficient client consumption.
• Technical Rigor & Modern Tooling: Establish best practices, improve workflows, mentor teammates, leverage AI tools.
