This role blends deep ownership of model architecture with technical leadership across teams, shaping the AI security direction and ensuring robust, scalable solutions for Reddit’s products and platforms. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in ML, strong Python and DL framework experience, and a proven track record with scalable training.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building ML models with production impact.
• Strong Python, software engineering, and DL frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers).
• Experience with scalable data pipelines and distributed training (Ray Train, PyTorch Distributed).

Responsibilities

• Select, adapt, fine‑tune, evaluate, and deploy pretrained models for Reddit‑specific security problems.
• Build reproducible training and evaluation pipelines on Reddit’s ML platform, improving inference performance and reliability.
• Set the technical vision and multi‑quarter modeling roadmap with cross‑functional teams.
• Conduct model evaluations to improve accuracy and adversarial robustness, balancing metrics like false positives, latency, and cost.
• Own training‑data quality and the production model lifecycle, guiding dataset improvements and safe rollout.
• Establish best practices for responsible ML development and deployment, including data lineage and privacy considerations.
