Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience with full‑stack focus.
• Proven leadership, mentoring abilities, and engineering influence.
• Strong cloud‑based solution experience and third‑party integrations.
• Experience building service‑oriented architectures and RESTful APIs.
• Excellent problem‑solving and effective communication with stakeholders.
• Experience with search technologies (OpenSearch/Elasticsearch) and large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and enhance Java/Spring and React applications for genomic workflows.
• Design data models, APIs, and search strategies for large-scale variant data.
• Collaborate with scientists and clinicians to translate domain requirements into technical designs.
• Lead scalable, secure solutions and drive architectural alignment across teams.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability and observability.
• Promote best practices in software engineering, testing, and CI/CD.
• Engage in mentorship and technical leadership across multiple services.
