Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead a cross-functional team in delivering customer- and associate-facing software. You will shape architectural decisions, drive production readiness, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with product and security teams.

You will be responsible for design, testing, deployment, and monitoring of scalable systems, and you will help grow technical leadership within the team and across the organization.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience in software engineering.
• Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/Typescript).
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or C# and modern software design patterns.

Responsibilities

• Delivery and execution of software from conception to production, with emphasis on quality and reliability.
• Mentor and grow junior engineers; lead technical discussions and code reviews.
• Plan work with product teams; ensure user stories are clear, testable, and ready for development.
• Contribute to architecture, tool selection, security, and production monitoring.
