Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead a team building customer-focused software. You will guide engineers across experience levels, contribute to architecture, and help deploy and support production applications.

You'll influence product choices, security, resilience, and monitoring while coaching junior teammates and shaping reusable code and documentation that scales with the product team.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
• Extensive front-end experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with an object-oriented programming language (preferably Java).
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to develop, test, deploy, and maintain software delivering customer value.
• Mentor engineers and grow junior staff while contributing to architecture diagrams and product documentation.
• Assist in product and tool selection, security, resilience, and production monitoring.
• Collaborate with Product Team to ensure user stories are clear, testable, and ready for developers.
