Axon seeks a Staff/Lead Software Engineer to drive major cloud initiatives in Seattle with a hybrid onsite schedule. You will shape architectural direction, mentor engineers, and obsess over customer needs to deliver secure, scalable services.

You bring 15+ years in cloud software, deep cloud service experience, containerization expertise, and strong communication to balance technical and business goals.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of cloud software engineering experience.
• Experience building large-scale cloud services with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and queues.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficient in one or more system languages: C, C++, Python, Go or Java.
• Frontend experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React/Angular.

Responsibilities

• Lead major projects from design to production.
• Set a high bar on excellence; provide deep architectural insights.
• Mentor engineers toward Senior and Staff levels.
• obsess over customer needs to build right solutions.
• Build highly available, performant, secure services for mission-critical space.
