Astrana Health is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join our Software Engineering team in Monterey Park, CA. You will embed with clinical, operations, and market teams to design and deploy production systems that improve care delivery and reduce costs.

This role combines in-office collaboration with remote work across our CA/NV footprint, building AI-driven tools, data pipelines, and customer-facing applications to scale real-world healthcare solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience building and deploying production systems.
• Strong technical fundamentals and problem-solving ability.
• 1–3 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, ML, AI, or related fields.
• Open to exceptional new graduates with strong builder potential.

Responsibilities

• Work with clinical, operations, and market teams to understand how work happens.
• Identify high-impact problems affecting cost, quality, and patient outcomes.
• Rapidly design and build tools, automations, and AI systems in production.
• Work with messy clinical, claims, and operational data.
• Build data pipelines, APIs, models, and user-facing applications.
• Iterate quickly based on real-world feedback.
• Help shape technology adoption across the organization.
