Job summary

Independence Pet Holdings in New York is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to drive architectural decisions, code quality and scalable delivery across policy administration, claims and customer applications.

You will actively design, review and implement solutions in the Microsoft stack, mentor engineers and partner with leadership to advance modernization with secure, reliable platforms.

Qualifications

• Significant software engineering experience with progression into senior technical leadership roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with .NET/C# and Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience designing APIs, integrations and distributed enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing and modern deployment practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across multiple engineering teams and product verticals.
• Lead solution design and architectural decisions for new development and platform improvements.
• Mentor engineers and enforce engineering standards and code quality.
• Design and review APIs, integrations and cloud-based solutions.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, Security and Operations to ensure scalable delivery.
• Own modernization efforts and drive reduction of technical debt.
