Coinbase is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Agent Engagement and Experience team to architect distributed backend systems and mentor engineers. You will define technical direction, own end-to-end delivery, and collaborate with multi-time-zone teams to improve CX and compliance workflows at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience building distributed systems.
• Experience with Go and backend services in production.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and DevOps tooling.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver distributed backend systems and infrastructure components.
• Lead technical direction and define roadmaps with management and stakeholders.
• Build and scale high-reliability services enabling CX agents and compliance workflows.
• Mentor engineers on design, coding, testing, and operational practices.
• Collaborate across time zones to identify platform improvements and communicate complex concepts.
