Job summary

Huntress is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to help rebuild and scale our detection engines and pipelines in Go, without disrupting the 24/7 SOC. You will lead major workstreams, define direction, and contribute production code weekly.

You will shape the architecture for scalable event processing, improve reliability under load, and collaborate across engineering to ensure consistent data contracts and validation. This is a remote US role with equity opportunities.

Qualifications

Experience designing and operating production distributed systems at scale, primarily in Go.
Ability to replace or re-architect a live, high-throughput system safely with proven migration steps.
Worked with high-volume event/data pipelines and understands bottlenecks under load.
Strong observability, alerting, and reliability-focused mindset.
Demonstrated cross-team technical leadership and architecture influence.
Good production-quality judgment on when to ship or defer features.
Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and secure usage.

Responsibilities
