Job summary

Crusoe Energy Systems is seeking a Staff Software Engineer in San Francisco to own and scale Crusoe Cloud’s container registry. You will drive architecture, performance, and reliability as the platform grows, working across teams to set standards and ensure production readiness.

You will mentor engineers, push the scalability roadmap, and translate customer needs into robust code. Strong distributed systems and cloud-native infra expertise are required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience building and operating distributed systems at scale.
• Experience building container registry products or similar infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Own Crusoe Cloud’s container registry architecture and scalability.
• Drive the registry roadmap and ensure reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and raise the team's technical bar.
• Collaborate with product and other teams to align on priorities and tradeoffs.
• Oversee production readiness and incident response for critical systems.
