Crusoe Cloud is seeking a Software Engineer II to help make our container registry fast, reliable, and observable at scale. You will contribute to production-grade components behind the registry that power deployments and job launches across the platform.

You'll work across teams to design, test, and operate features end-to-end, with a focus on performance, reliability, and observable systems. The role emphasizes mentorship, collaboration, and shipping pragmatic cloud-native solutions.

Qualifications

• Distributed systems fundamentals and production experience.
• Strong performance mindset with profiling and benchmarking skills.
• Customer-centric focus to improve reliability for users.
• Fluency with microservices and cloud-native tech (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform) and languages like Go, Rust, Java, or C++.
• Willingness to collaborate across teams and mentor teammates.
• 2–4 years of professional software development experience.

Responsibilities

• Build at scale by contributing to components behind Crusoe Cloud's container registry.
• Own features end-to-end from design to rollout and operation.
• Tackle hard cloud-provider problems with pragmatic, simple designs.
• Collaborate with product and platform teams to serve customers and operations.
• Build for reliability with observable, maintainable systems.
• Raise the bar operationally by improving safety and performance.
