Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Nine or more years of relevant software development experience with significant technical leadership roles.
• Demonstrated experience architecting and delivering complex solutions across multiple systems, applications, or teams.
• Deep expertise in AWS serverless and cloud-native data architecture, including orchestration, messaging, APIs, security, networking, observability, resiliency, data governance, and automation.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, integration approaches, distributed systems, cloud platforms, and operational resilience.
• Ability to influence technical direction across teams without direct reporting authority.
• Experience establishing reusable engineering patterns, standards, and platform capabilities.
• Proven ability to identify and resolve cross-team risks, dependencies, and complex challenges.
• Strong communication skills to explain architectural decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to mentor senior engineers and strengthen technical capabilities across teams.

Aufgaben

• Define and drive the technical direction and architecture for Penn Mutual’s Brokerage and RIA Technology Team and its platforms.
• Partner with product, engineering, architecture, business, cybersecurity, and platform leaders to align roadmaps with priorities.
• Define architecture, reference patterns, and reusable components for AWS data integration across platforms.
• Architect complex solutions spanning multiple applications, services, data sources, and platforms.
• Lead cross-team technical initiatives from analysis through implementation and adoption.
• Establish and drive adoption of technical standards, reference implementations, and reusable components.
• Lead architecture reviews, documenting decisions, trade-offs, dependencies, and risks.
• Identify and address systemic technical risks, dependencies, and operational weaknesses.
• Resolve complex technical challenges spanning systems and teams.
• Balance near-term delivery with long-term maintainability, modernization, and reliability.
• Influence product and technology roadmaps through technical expertise.
• Mentor Senior Software Engineers and other engineers to grow technical leadership.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and lead prototypes for strategic capabilities.
• Communicate direction and recommendations to engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Promote engineering excellence through automation, observability, testing, security, and discipline.
