Job summary

Samsara Inc. is hiring software engineers across multiple levels to build next‑generation AI‑driven products for physical operations. You’ll own complex systems that integrate hardware, software, and data at scale, crafting end‑to‑end solutions across backend, frontend, and possibly mobile.

The role emphasizes building from scratch, leading cross‑functional work, and delivering measurable business impact in a fast‑growing, remote‑friendly environment in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of experience designing and developing software at scale.
• Strong full-stack fundamentals across backend services, APIs, and frontend (web or mobile).
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑team or cross‑org projects from inception through rollout.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of technically complex, mission‑critical areas and drive them to completion.
• Define and drive technical strategy for new products and platform capabilities, from backend services to UI.
• Design and ship full‑stack features end to end across backend, frontend, and possibly mobile.
• Partner with product, design, and customer‑facing teams to translate ambiguous problems into technical plans and measurable outcomes.
• Build and scale systems behind AI‑driven products, including data ingestion and APIs.
• Mentor engineers, lead code/design reviews, and elevate quality, velocity, and craft.
• Champion Samsara’s cultural principles as we scale globally.
