NPAworldwide is seeking a senior backend engineer to lead the architecture and technical roadmap for the booking domain and external APIs. You will write production code and guide backend engineers to build reliable booking and integration capabilities.

You will drive incremental migrations, establish operational practices, testing, observability, and safe rollback strategies, while collaborating with teams across the organization to deliver scalable, resilient services.

• Proven experience leading significant technical work across engineers or teams.
• Experience designing transactional systems and APIs, and operating production systems through failures.
• Strong hands-on engineering with data modeling, concurrency, and asynchronous workflows.

Lead the architecture and technical roadmap for the booking domain and external API while writing production code and guiding backend engineers. Build reliable booking and integration capabilities, lead incremental migrations, and establish operational practices, testing, observability, and safe rollbacks.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience leading substantial technical work across engineers or teams, designing transactional systems and APIs, and operating production systems through failures and change. Strong hands‑on engineering, knowledge of data modeling, concurrency, consistency, and asynchronous workflows, and clear communication are required; Ruby on Rails experience is useful but not required.
