Job summary

RealWork, based in Austin, TX, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join a small but growing engineering team. You will lead feature-level implementation from scoping to delivery as a solo IC or lead a 2-3 person pod with PMs, Designers and Principal Engineers guiding technical design requirements and timelines.

The product is MERN-based with TypeScript, React, NodeJS, and MongoDB on AWS. You’ll own the SDLC, focus on observability, and deliver customer-focused, scalable solutions for home

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, NodeJS and MongoDB.
• Experience turning technical requirements into iterative development plans.
• 8+ years in a startup environment is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and refine technical requirements with stakeholders to align with business goals.
• Lead a small team to deliver feature-sized projects on time with clear milestones.
• Own the full SDLC, including deployment, observability, metrics and successful launches after delivery.
