Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for a 100% remote role in the United States. This is a full-time, direct W2 position with opportunities to lead complex, cross‑team engineering initiatives and shape large‑scale cloud, data, and distributed systems.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience, strong backend programming skills, excellent system design abilities, and a track record of mentoring engineers while improving reliability and observability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Eight or more years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven track record of leading complex, cross-team engineering initiatives.
• Deep expertise in at least one of distributed systems, cloud platforms, or large-scale data systems.
• Strong programming skills in at least one major backend language.
• Excellent system-design and architecture skills.
• Demonstrated mentorship and technical leadership of senior engineers.
• Strong understanding of operational excellence, reliability, and observability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Track record of influencing engineering culture and standards.
