Job summary

HCVT LLP is building a new Azure cloud platform to support a multi-year modernization program. This Staff Software Engineer will lead application engineering, architecting and coding new solutions while modernizing legacy applications onto the platform.

You will set technical direction, establish reusable patterns, and raise the engineering bar as the team grows. The role emphasizes C#/.NET on Azure, with broader cloud language proficiency and strong security focus.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building and operating production applications and services, including architecture ownership and cross-functional delivery leadership.
• Demonstrated experience architecting multi-tenant applications with data isolation and identity controls.
• Experience building orchestration layers over third-party systems and API facades.
• Strong cloud language proficiency (C#/.NET; others like Java, Go, Python, Node.js/TypeScript).
• Experience modernizing monolithic/on-premises apps to cloud-native patterns.

Responsibilities

• Own the target-state architecture for the new platform and a single front door for clients and internal portals.
• Own canonical data model and a modular architecture with identity, tenancy, and telemetry at its core.
• Design multi-tenant isolation and secure access controls across documents, search, exports, and integrations.
• Build the integration layer to third-party platforms with versioned contracts and anti-corruption adapters.
• Ensure resilience with idempotent writes, drift detection, circuit breakers, and graceful degradation.
• Lead modernization of legacy .NET Framework, WCF, and SQL workloads without disrupting operations.
• Develop cloud-native applications on Azure PaaS using App Service, Container Apps, Key Vault, Service Bus, and managed databases.
